#FinishLizasRun
Issue 100 - September 9th, 2022
I am taking a break from writing about real estate this week to encourage everyone reading this to keep Liza Fletcher’s family in your thoughts today. I am sure some of you saw the horrible news this last week about the kidnapping & murder of Liza Fletcher in my hometown of Memphis,TN.
Liza was someone I knew from a very early age in life. We were just one grade apart in school growing up, and she touched the lives of many people in the Memphis community and around this entire country - she is an incredible inspiration to so many people and leaves behind a great family, friend group, and many people who love her very much. We were never best friends by any means, but the thing about Liza is she made everyone feel like her best friend. She was one of the nicest, funniest, and friendliest people you would have ever met. She was also a fierce competitor and super athlete, and I have fond memories of her beating the crap out all of the guys in tennis and swim meets when where we are all young kids.
This morning there were organized run groups all over the country to honor Liza, and it is so cool to see the positive impact she made on so many people’s lives. Liza will never be forgotten. Take a moment today to go browse Instagram or Twitter and search for #FinishLizasRun or #RunForLiza to see all of the amazing run groups and memorials to honor Liza.
Liza - we will never forget you.
One of the more impactful and awesome articles I have seen this week was written by Liza’s soccer coach from The University of Memphis - give it a read here!
